I know Risu is in Hiragana but with all the word play that they have done with the Puyo games there is no doubt that this is supposed to be Risk and not squirrel. Examples: Puyo Sun where the English word sun sounds like San for 3, Puyo Tsu where Tsu means master but sounds like the English word for Two, Puyo Fever Chu also playing a pun on the word 2 but means kiss at the same time.

Also look at Akuma, Risukuma is totally a ripoff of him so it's gonna use a same naming gimic where they combine words. If they wanted him to be a squirrel bear they probably would have done something similar to Owl Bear who is AULUBEA, So yes squirrel but I see this is probably going to be more on the play of the pronouncation and not the spell like most of the games have done. --sleepykiks 19:48, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
