Popoi is a male black cat who is usually being held by Accord. Though Accord claims he is a talking puppet, he is seen alone in Puyo Puyo Fever as a final boss, claiming to be the "Prince of Darkness."
Popoi's voice has led to some confusion about his gender. Popoi, however, is male.
He is a playable character in Puyo Puyo Fever, but Popoi appears only with Accord in future versions. His birthday is Feburary 22nd, the same day as George Washington's, to relate to Ms. Accord's Birthday, who is the same day as Abraham Lincoln's.
in Puyo Puyo!! 20th Anniversary, he runs the shop, where the player can purchase Puyo skins, alternate costumes, voices, and even advice. If you continuously purchase his advice, he will randomly give away Unusual Ecolo or one of the hidden 15th modes.
