Masked Satan is the silly alternate ego that Satan goes by in Puyo Puyo TSU. He tries to fool everyone by wearing the Dark Prince Mask. In the SNES and later versions, he even spells his name out in Katakana, trying to pass of as someone else. He is the hidden final boss of Puyo Puyo TSU, and is encountered if the player scores over 180000 points and doesn't use any continues. Once Arle defeats him, the mask falls off, revealing his true identity. Then Arle and Carbuncle leave, not wanting anything more to do with his shenanigans, probably also out of embarrassment for being so easily tricked.
A player can also encounter him if they do not obtain enough experience to pass the first floor, but will be booted out of the tower after beating him ending the game.
In the CD version, he dresses up like Santa with the mask on.
His theme in the game is another piece of Puyo Puyo culture, remembered by all next to Satan's theme from the original Puyo Puyo. It reappears in Minna de Puyo Puyo, and was remixed and included as a bonus track in the Wii Version of Puyo Puyo! 15th Anniversary along with all versions of Puyo Puyo 7.
