まもの (Mamono)

Mamono(meaning Demon) is a birdlike beast who seems to teleport out nowhere before facing him. He always stands in the same way and looks quite threatening, yet, when Arle meets him in TSU and when he's losing he starts to cry wimpish like.

He was the final boss in the original MSX version of Madou Monogatari 1 and creates an awful illusion, but was replaced with Fudoushi in the later PC98, Sega Gamegear, and PC engine versions. Also final boss in Madou Monogatari: Genesis, before Satan who is optional.
