Imageboard
The Puyo Nexus Imageboard is a centralization attempt for Puyo-related images. At the core is Shimmie, a powerful, scalable PHP based booru-style imageboard software. At the surface is a database of over 9000 (no stupidity intended) images from all around the internet, including some from our own members.

Artist's Rights
To Posters
Illegal contents will not be tolerated. You will be banned from the imageboard if you purposely attempt to post anything which is considered illegal, no exceptions. If you accidentally post something illegal, please report your image immediately. The term 'Illegal images' include but is not limited to images you do not have permission to redistribute, images considered child pornography (and please note that any pornography is not allowed; see 2.3 Mature Content)
Do not post images without permission from the artist.
To Authors
The imageboard policy is in flux. Please come back later.
Posting Standards
Please do not post tiny images - normally, the minimum excepted resolution is around 32x32 pixels, but for anything other than pixel art, please do not post images less than 100x100. Do not post images that consist entirely of existing images or official images. Please do not post images of excessively noticeable poor quality. Please avoid posting images that have been reduced in quality due to resizing, conversion or any other transformation. Please do not post images that aren't directly related to Puyo Puyo in some form (e.g. Fever styled pictures are okay as long as they were intentionally Fever styled, but Sonic pictures are unacceptable because the relationship that connects Sonic to SEGA and SEGA to Puyo Puyo is indirect.) Please do not post random screenshots (e.g. a screenshot of a 12 chain is unacceptable, however, a screenshot of a notable cut scene or something that has never been seen before is acceptable.)
Violations of these rules will be evaluated on a per-case basis, but only sometimes will exceptions be allowed. Please do not expect an exception to be made in your case.
Tagging Standards
Tags are normally capitalized in the case of proper nouns and otherwise uncapitalized. In cases where you would normally see a space in middle of a tag, expect an underscore instead. All tags are space separated; do not ever use commas between tags as it creates new malformed tags. Abbreviations may be used for long (about 5+ letters) prefixes or suffixes on names (e.g. D._Arle, S._Klug.) In the case of D._Arle, D. stands for Doppelganger and never Dark. Dark_Arle is shorter and therefore is not a candidate for abbreviation in the first place.
English vs Japanese
For names which have OFFICIAL English variants, this version shall be used. In any other case, a romanization shall be used. If multiple possibilities arise, the most rational shall be chosen by an administrator. Banshee_trio for example was changed from Trio_the_Banshee because the latter doesn't make grammatical sense and is considered a mistranslation.
Keep it simple
In cases where tags can be long, do not make them long. Prefer using the most commonly known alias for the said character. For example, Salde (a name we consider as the human form of Ocean Prince, how ever correct that is,) could also be rendered as Prince_Salde_Canarl_Shellbrick_III. It's not. You can see why.
Artist tagging
Artists should be tagged with a recognizable name. In case of Pixiv uploads, we recommend you use their Pixiv ID unless they are well known and their Pixiv ID is less recognizable. In any case, Pixiv uploads should be handled by PixivBot[1] and not manually.
Artist tags are formatted as follows: artistname_(artist)
Any character, other than a space, can be used in "artistname". Spaces shall be replaced with underscores. Kana is okay; never in any case attempt to romanize a name unless it would help recognition of the artist, or you are the artist and wish to use an English name.
Follow standards
Please try to follow existing tag rules when possible. If you find that there is not a tag and you think there should be one, you may suggest it on the forums, or begin using it immediately (in which case it will be evaluated when the said tags are seen by an administrator.)
In any case, we intend to document most imageboard terms at the Imageboard glossary. If you see a tag, you can hit the "?" button next to it for more information, usually leading you to the said page. If you want to create a new entry, feel free to. A redirect from the tag help button to the Imageboard glossary entry shall be made by an administrator, either by explicit contact or implicitly when the edit to the Imageboard Glossary page is noticed.
Sourcing standards
Sources to direct files are highly unrecommended; using them provide little or no useful information. When uploading from sites like Pixiv, please use PixivBot[2] instead of manually uploading to maintain author information and sourcing.
Photobucket
It's not a primary source, unless it is. It will likely automatically be set as source with transloading, which is fine. Just never purposely set the source to an Imagebucket file link. If an author actually uses Photobucket for redistribution, please give a link which is less ambiguous than a direct hotlink.
DeviantART
Be careful when posting from DeviantART as many authors explicitly disallow redistribution. Because contact with DeviantART members is probably easier, you might want to contact an author before going ahead and posting their images. Nonetheless, you should likely tag source to the Deviation page, or the author's main DeviantART page.
Mature Content
Mature content is normally disallowed. In cases of explicit nudity, we are legally unable to contain such images. If you are looking for or have found any content of this nature, you can get in contact with someone on NexusIRC.
Mature content which involves gore might be allowed but is still strongly discouraged.
Obscene / Offensive images
Puyo Nexus does not impose any explicit rules against legal, non-pornographic images that may be considered obscene or offensive. Please do not in any case attempt to report images which you believe are obscene or offensive unless you believe the said image is illegal in some way.
Feel free to post such images, so as long as they meet the standards, and again, be sure to not post anything illegal.
Integration
At Puyo Nexus, integration of our many parts is important. For this reason, we attempt to make sure everything fits together. As of now only the Wiki has imageboard integration; Artist pages and character pages may have a special template that links people to relevant tags.
