Dark Arle

Dark Arle is the main villain in Puyo Puyo 7. She is actually the real Arle being possessed by Ekoro. She can be unlocked by completing the last chapter that she is in with both Ringo and Satan

In the story, Dark Arle appears in the third act of the game's story mode, where she follows Ringo and tricks her into defeating the 6 other Madou characters one by one. The actt ends with a match against Dark Arle herself. After being defeated, Dark Arle reveals that beating her and the others has actually opened the space warp more, which will cause Ringo's world to be completely submerged by Puyo. Later, Dark Arle appears again. However, she begins to speak like a man. Upon her defeat, she reverts back into normal Arle, and Ekoro soon reveals himself afterwards. He did not possess Arle again.

In Daihenshin, Dark Arle does not transform. Instead, the color of her robes changes to either red or green in Deka or Chibi mode respectively.

She is the spiritual equivalent of Doppelganger Arle. However, they are entirely unrelated, other than being an evil alter ego to Arle. Dark Arle's battle theme, however, has pieces that resemble Doppelganger Arle's battle theme. It is probably not coincidence, since there are other Puyo Puyo~n refrences scattered throughout Puyo Puyo 7.
